Recently Julie Sumeral of Pipervine photography and I wanted to collaborate on outdoor wedding inspiration and decided on the shaded lakeside trail at Aldride Gardens. Birmingham has so many beautiful outdoor settings for brides to choose on their wedding day but since I love garden settings , this public wedding venue was a perfect choice for our day . Julie had scouted the setting earlier and found an ornate French-style bench by the lake which inspired our vision. So a classic sleeved lace bridal gown with flowing veil was chosen from sweet vendor friends at Ivory and White and modeled beautifully by Patton Short. Melissa of Gracefully Made Art designed a romantic invitation suite and added beautiful calligraphy to Cocoon silk ribbon for a very vintage French look. A sweetheart table with French chairs, foraged sweet Autumn clematis, pretty French-bleu linen napkins and strappy heels completed the details. We were thrilled to see this understated inspiration featured on one of our favorite wedding blogs- The Bridal Theory. We fell in love with the serene Birmingham woodland setting, peaceful water and ivy carpeted paths at Aldridge Gardens as a wedding setting and hope you do too...
Beautiful Ashley chose the most gorgeous floral palette of pinks for her spring Auburn Alabama wedding. We were honored to be her florist and loved working this sweet and so creative bride and her family. It is always a plus when a bride trusts your designs for the reception and Ashley allowed our team to surprise her with our unique "tabletop" trees on the dining tables. She was a classic southern bride who planned a traditional garden style wedding celebration...our favorite of course! . Best wishes to this lovely couple!
