We were given the opportunity to work with Birmingham's Heather Durham photography for some fun creative Christmas inspiration. We often decorate homes for Christmas gatherings and love interpreting the house and families personality into our designs . We have collaborated with her for the Birmingham Magazine wedding issue, weddings and three gorgeous wedding photoshoots and jumped at the chance to add our flowers for a holiday feature. The gorgeous Mountain Brook home was a perfect light filled and modern space for our team to decorate with a twist on the usually red and greens . We began by adding whimsical colorful dahlias sourced from Stonehollow Farms in unexpected places ( in the dining room lighting). . Tea and Old Roses Robin Wilhem gathered china patterns that complemented the rooms wallpaper and gold accents. Sweet Melissa of Gracefully Made Art added the family names to vibrant pomegranates serving as table place cards . Fresh greenery filled the house and the top of a yummy red velvet cake from A. Joy cakes. My favorite flower design was the fresh greenery Christmas tree wall art hanging in the stairwell. We hope this inspires readers to think outside the box for Christmas decor and use our abundant greens and locally grown flowers .
So fortunate to work with Birmingham's best

After binging on Downton Abby and The Crown last fall , a group of Birmingham wedding vendors gathered to create our own Anglo American inspiration at a classic southern setting. Located in the heart of Birmingham's historic Highlands district, Donnelly House with its classic columns and gorgeous stairwell was the perfect choice for our British inspiration . We served up a lovely tete a tete sweetheart table on the venue's stately porch using Tea and Old Roses gorgeous china and beautiful Kate of Auburn's Haint Blue Collective was magically transformed into our Jane, southern style. Her hand lettered invitation, banners and ribbons bringing words from Jane Austens books to the day.. reminding us why we love her hero and heroines so much .
