Thorne and Thistle travels to Washington
Somebody pinch me! This year was one for the books ! This little Auburn Alabama wedding florist was thrilled to travel to WashingtonDC to design for the annual first lady's luncheon sponsored by the congressional wives. And the best part was getting to design with the most gorgeous blooms (18,000 to be exact) all grown by American flower farmers. I cant thank Christy Hulsey enough for including me, Kelly Shores for her incredible vision and leadership for this huge project, and all the other flower friends who were such a huge joy to work with.. We are thrilled to see our work in Washington acknowledged in Florist Review and Debra Prinzing's Slow Flowers Journal.

The floral experience was written about in Florists’ Review by Debra Prinzing . Fellow chapel designer, Kelly of Petals by the Shore was one of the lead designers alongside Colonial House of Flowers and Margaret Joan Florals for American Grown Flowers . These three were the reason all of us could attend and be a part of this fantastic event and I am so grateful for their hard work and leadership!
